No hardwiring is required. The 6 ft cord plugs into a suitable grounded receptacle, but the Point Pod has no built-in GFCI protection. It must connect to a GFCI-protected receptacle or branch circuit in accordance with NEC 406.5(E) and local codes.
The Point Pod may extend upward, downward or sideways. In every orientation, keep the receptacle faces vertical—never facing upward. Have it professionally installed in accordance with local requirements.
The Point Pod Connect, empty top cup, outer ring, mounting flange, fastening clip, 6 ft power cord and documentation are included. Countertop insert material, adhesive and cutting tools are not included.
Important: Unplug and remove all connected equipment before closing the unit. The Point Pod is IP44 rated for indoor, dry-location use; it is not waterproof. Avoid spills into an open outlet and never spray water into the unit.
Keep the technical information on hand before ordering, fabrication and installation.
