The Point Pod Connect is a motorized countertop pop-up outlet with two tamper-resistant North American receptacles and your choice of 15W or 65W USB charging. The supplied top cup is empty and must be fitted with a matching piece of your countertop. As a fractional reference, it is approximately 3 11/16″; finish it to 3.66″ (93 mm) and test-fit it to the supplied top cup.

Press the top once to raise or lower the unit. When closed, only the silver ring and your countertop insert remain visible.

  • 15W USB: two USB-C ports and one USB-A port, rated up to 5V/3A (15W).
  • 65W USB: two USB-C PD 3.0 ports and no USB-A; up to 65W from one port, or up to 30W per port when both are used.

Installation requires a 4″ (101.6 mm) opening, 17.72″ (450 mm) of clear depth and a GFCI-protected power supply. Plan the opening and insert together and review the cutting and installation guides before cutting.

GFCI-protected supply

Connect the fitted cord to a suitable grounded, GFCI-protected receptacle. The Point Pod does not include built-in GFCI protection.

Important: Keep every receptacle face vertical and connect the unit to a GFCI-protected supply.

The supplied top cup is empty and designed to hold a matching piece of your countertop for a flush, integrated finish. As a fractional reference, it is approximately 3 11/16″; finish it to 3.66″ (93 mm) and test-fit it to the supplied top cup.

Top insert dimensions

The supplied top cup accepts a countertop insert up to 1.18″ (30 mm) thick. Approximate fractional diameter: 3 11/16″. Finished diameter: 3.66″ (93 mm). Trim it to the final size and test-fit it to the supplied top cup; four adjustment screws help level it.

Power and GFCI

No hardwiring is required. The 6 ft cord plugs into a suitable grounded receptacle, but the Point Pod has no built-in GFCI protection. It must connect to a GFCI-protected receptacle or branch circuit in accordance with NEC 406.5(E) and local codes.

Up, down or sideways

The Point Pod may extend upward, downward or sideways. In every orientation, keep the receptacle faces vertical—never facing upward. Have it professionally installed in accordance with local requirements.

What is included

The Point Pod Connect, empty top cup, outer ring, mounting flange, fastening clip, 6 ft power cord and documentation are included. Countertop insert material, adhesive and cutting tools are not included.

Important: Unplug and remove all connected equipment before closing the unit. The Point Pod is IP44 rated for indoor, dry-location use; it is not waterproof. Avoid spills into an open outlet and never spray water into the unit.

(93 mm) and test-fit it to the supplied top cup. Finished inserts may be available separately by email request at additional cost.

Can it extend in different directions?

Yes. It may extend upward, downward or sideways, provided every receptacle face remains vertical and never faces upward.

How should the opening be cut?

Plan the 4 in. (101.6 mm) opening and top insert together. The insert is approximately 3 11/16 in. before final trimming; finish it to 3.66 in. (93 mm) and test-fit it to the supplied top cup. When using a hole saw, make a trial cut in matching off-cut material before cutting the finished surface.

Does it require hardwiring?

The fitted US plug does not require hardwiring, but countertop fabrication and mechanical installation are still required. Any required electrical work must be completed by a licensed electrician.
