Upright or sideways
Install upright or sideways. Upside-down operation is not supported because the tower may drop abruptly. For sideways mounting, keep receptacle faces from pointing directly upward.

What opening is required?
Plan an 80 mm (3.15 in.) opening and at least 11 in. of space below the surface.
Does the product need to be hardwired?
No product hardwiring is required. It has a fitted US plug.
Can the V15 be installed sideways or upside down?
Upright and sideways mounting are supported. Do not use the V15 upside down: although it can be physically secured in that position, the inner tower is not mechanically connected to the gas strut and may drop abruptly when released. For sideways mounting, position the unit so no receptacle face points directly upward and have a qualified installer confirm the final arrangement against local electrical requirements.
