The Emporium Hotel Brisbane

The luxurious Emporium Hotel in Southbank Brisbane chose to incorporate a pop up power outlet within the desks of every room. Offering guests a more convenient method of charging phones and powering other devices. 

The Emporium Hotel had a unique set of requirements, met by the team at Modern Power Solutions. A custom stainless steel finish on the top and the addition of the RJ45 data point made it a compelling unit of choice. 

The Emporium has successfully operated these units since 2018 with minimal issues. All the media on this page were taken in late 2024, showing the durability of the original units. They have withstood high-use environments with ease.

The V2SBSS model used by Emporium features a black stainless steel lid. It includes two Australian GPOs (general power outlets) and two USB charging ports. These outlets raise easily with a simple pull-up mechanism and remain flush when closed. Additionally, an RJ45 port provides data access for guests.

The Emporium Hotel is one of Brisbane’s top luxury accommodations, with over 140 rooms. The hotel’s high-tech ambiance includes large-scale LED video displays, glass features, and hidden LED lighting. The rooftop bar features an infinity-edge pool with stunning views of the Brisbane skyline and river. Inside the rooms, innovative LED lighting is complemented by a controllable transparent glass wall in the bathtub. A flick of a switch makes the glass opaque, offering privacy when desired.
